My name is Donna. On Tuesday, October 29, my partner of 21 years, Caroline, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). She had no symptoms: it was a routine blood test that alerted the doctors something was seriously wrong. Caroline was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia on Wednesday, October 30, and started chemo (Idarubicin and Cytarabine) on the Friday. This blog is a way to keep friends and family updated as well as provide Caroline and I with a record of what’s happened.
